Finance Analyst

About the role

Join Veolia’s Queensland Environmental Services commercial finance team as a Finance Analyst. You will prepare and review financial and management reports, work closely with operational and finance leaders, and provide insights to improve performance and support strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver financial and management reports in partnership with operational business partners and the Finance Manager.
• Conduct financial analysis and variance reporting, focusing on operational drivers.
• Build and maintain commercial models and profitability reviews.
• Lead opex‑to‑capex transfers, ensuring compliance with AASB 116 criteria.
• Own the annual budget process and ongoing forecasting activities.
• Perform ad‑hoc accounting and finance tasks as required.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting/Finance or equivalent with significant accounting experience.
• Working towards or holding CA/CPA qualification.
• Experience in an accounting or financial analyst role within a high‑volume, complex business.
• Audit experience is desirable.
• Experience in logistics or waste industries is beneficial but not essential.
