FIFO Chef - Small Remote Sites

About the role

Hays is recruiting experienced FIFO chefs for its casual workforce to support accommodation and catering providers across a range of smaller remote villages in Western Australia. The work is based on sites of around 20 to 350 residents, and all positions operate on a FIFO from Perth only; applicants must currently live in Western Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality meals in a bulk catering environment
• Maintain exceptional food safety and hygiene standards
• Work day and night shifts on predominantly 2:1 rosters, with 10-12 hour days

Required profile

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or higher)
• Previous FIFO chef experience within Australia
• Experience in bulk catering environments
• Current WA manual driving licence
• Supervisor Safe Food Handling certificate, or willingness to obtain it
• Recent, contactable references
• Passes a pre-employment medical, including fitness assessment and ongoing drug and alcohol screening
