FIFO Chef – 14:7 Roster in Rockhampton

About the role

Sodexo is seeking experienced chefs to work in a busy village environment supporting mining communities in regional Queensland. The role involves preparing quality meals on a FIFO basis from Rockhampton with a 14 days on, 7 days off roster.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare meals across breakfast, lunch and dinner services in a high‑volume catering setting.
• Maintain food safety and HACCP standards while delivering consistent quality and presentation.
• Work as part of a supportive kitchen team and adapt to remote site conditions.

Required profile

• Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery.
• Experience in bulk catering or high‑volume kitchens.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in remote environments.
• Full Australian working rights and ability to pass pre‑employment medical and drug/alcohol tests.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Understanding of HACCP standards.
