Field Service Technician – Mining Equipment

About the role

Join Sandvik Mining as a Field Service Technician based in Mt Isa, Queensland. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing underground mining equipment, working on a roster of 8 days on/6 days off or 2 weeks on/2 weeks off.

Key responsibilities

• Perform mechanical maintenance, repairs and fault diagnosis on all Sandvik Mining equipment.
• Execute maintenance tasks according to planned schedules, ensuring equipment integrity and safe operation.
• Provide feedback to improve maintenance planning and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of parts usage, equipment monitoring and time logs.
• Adhere to all Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies and champion a strong safety culture.

Required profile

• Demonstrated commitment to safety and strong customer‑service focus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Class C Manual Driver’s Licence.
• Ability to pass a pre‑employment medical, national police check and regular drug/alcohol screening.
• Legal right to live and work in Australia.
