About the role
Cummins is looking for a Field Service Mechanic to join its high-performing field service team in the Gunnedah Basin mining region, where more than 170 Cummins high-horsepower engines power mining equipment. The role is on a 7/7 roster, open to people local to Tamworth or to those willing to drive in and drive out.
Key responsibilities
- Perform breakdown and preventative tasks
- Carry out a diverse range of engine repairs, both major and minor
- Work autonomously and in a team environment
- Work with other major OEMs such as Komatsu, Hitachi and Liebherr
Required profile
- Relevant trade qualification (Heavy Commercial Vehicle/Heavy Diesel, or Light Vehicle)
- Valid driver's licence
- Experience as a diesel mechanic servicing heavy diesel products, mining equipment and engines is preferred
