Field Service Engineer - Recycling Systems

About the role

TOMRA Recycling develops sensor-based sorting technology for recycling, with more than 11,000 systems installed worldwide. To support its growing installed base and new customer projects across Australia, it is hiring a full-time Field Service Engineer. This is a field-based position with regular travel across Australia and occasional international travel.

Key responsibilities

• Install, commission, test, maintain and optimise TOMRA sorting systems.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, electronic, mechanical, software and network issues.
• Provide technical support to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Deliver operator and maintenance training to customer teams.
• Coordinate service activities, upgrades and project work, and prepare service reports.
• Identify upgrade and spare parts opportunities and collaborate with Project Management, Sales and Technical Support.
• Complete all work safely and in line with company and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics or a related engineering discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience supporting industrial equipment in a field service, maintenance or technical support role.
• Valid driver's licence and valid authority to work in Australia.
• Preferred: experience with optical sorting technology, the recycling industry, industrial networking and cybersecurity knowledge, and additional languages.
