Field Engineer – Marine Systems

About the role

You will join the Platform/Marine systems team to provide frontline engineering expertise and waterfront support for vessel operations and maintenance. The role involves analysing technical requests, preparing technical instructions, and investigating defects to keep complex marine assets running safely.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engineering and waterfront support for vessels and associated systems.
• Review and respond to Problem Identification Report (PIR) technical queries from production teams.
• Conduct analysis, design and development of technical instructions.
• Investigate maintenance issues and defects, producing root‑cause analysis.
• Develop TM200 documents for urgent defect rectification.

Required profile

• Australian citizenship with ability to obtain Commonwealth Defence Security Clearance.
• Accredited bachelor’s degree in engineering (Washington Accord).
• Trade qualification or engineering background, preferably electrical.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Curiosity and analytical ability to assess variance requests.
