Field Engineer

About the role

Join a global leader in industrial gases as a Field Engineer, providing engineering and technical support for customer projects and sales opportunities across Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Develop proposals, designs, cost estimates and quotations aligned with customer needs and timelines.
• Manage end‑to‑end project delivery, including installation, commissioning, training, documentation and handover.
• Implement global Best Operating Practices (BOPs) for process, equipment, safety and technology.
• Conduct HAZOPs, EMOCs, risk assessments and ensure compliance with BOC, industry and statutory requirements.
• Undertake site audits, support trials and optimise customer processes post‑installation.
• Prepare regular updates and reports on project progress, costs and performance.
• Coordinate logistics, parts, contractors and stakeholders to ensure seamless installation delivery.
• Collaborate with sales and cross‑functional teams to align technical solutions with commercial goals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, chemical, petroleum, mechatronics or industrial engineering.
• 2–5 years of experience in gas, engineering or construction‑related industries.
• Strong technical knowledge in design, installation and commissioning of industrial systems.
• Sound understanding of project and risk management principles.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Customer‑focused, results‑driven mindset.
