Field Assistant – Mining Exploration (FIFO)

About the role

The mining operator is seeking a Field Assistant to support exploration activities on a FIFO roster (12 days on, 9 days off) in Western Australia. You will work on remote camps, assisting with earthworks, drilling support, and camp maintenance while ensuring safety and operational continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with RC sampling, diamond core processing, soil sampling, flagging, pegging and ground‑truthing.
• Support creation and rehabilitation of drill pads, tracks and other ground disturbances.
• Help with mobilisation and demobilisation of remote camp facilities and equipment.
• Collect and input field data and photos using mobile field applications.
• Provide daily logistical support for the earthworks team and maintain camp facilities.
• Perform occasional food preparation and cleaning duties as directed.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role, preferably in mining or exploration.
• Current First Aid Certificate and a valid C‑class driver’s licence.
• Experience operating and maintaining four‑wheel‑drive vehicles on‑ and off‑road.
• Australian citizenship or permanent residency (no other visas considered).
