Fibreglass Technician – Manufacturing & Maintenance

About the role

Felco Manufacturing is seeking a full‑time Fibreglass Technician to join its Toowoomba facility. The role involves the production, repair and maintenance of fibreglass components used in liquid road tankers and related equipment. You will work on mould preparation, lay‑up, finishing and quality assurance in a safety‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain moulds for various composite products.
• Cut, layer and laminate fibreglass materials according to technical drawings.
• Apply resins, sand, and finish components to meet quality standards.
• Perform repairs and routine maintenance on fibreglass tanks and accessories.
• Collaborate with the production team to ensure timely delivery of parts.
• Adhere to workplace safety regulations, including hazardous material handling and confined‑space procedures.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with fibreglass handling, moulding and composite manufacturing.
• Ability to work accurately with cutting, lamination, sanding and finishing tasks.
• Understanding of safety standards for hazardous materials and confined spaces.
• Team‑oriented mindset with strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Formal qualifications in materials technology are a plus but not mandatory.
