Family Office Tax Associate

About the role

PwC Australia is hiring an Associate for its Family Office Tax team in Brisbane, within the Entrepreneurial & Private Business (EPB) line of service. You will support families and businesses navigating complex tax and wealth matters, working alongside experienced professionals on tailored tax compliance and strategic planning solutions for privately owned businesses, entrepreneurs, family offices and philanthropic entities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist clients with complex tax compliance issues.
• Support the design and implementation of structures that fit the commercial objectives of clients.
• Liaise with the Australian Taxation Office, representing clients during ATO engagements and managing their tax reporting obligations.
• Apply tax knowledge to clients across all sectors of the Australian economy.

Required profile

• A developing understanding of Australian tax laws and regulations, especially for high-net-worth individuals, private clients and family offices.
• Attention to detail for accurate preparation of tax returns, financial statements and related documentation.
• Ability to explain tax concepts clearly to clients and colleagues, with a client-focused, collaborative approach.
• Interest in tax strategy, staying informed on legislative changes, and a commitment to continuous learning.
• Strong problem-solving skills and responsiveness.
