Family Lawyer (3+ Years PQE) to Senior Solicitor

About the role

Orbell Family Lawyers is looking for a family lawyer with a minimum of 3+ years PQE to join its growing team of eight family lawyers in the Newcastle office. The firm specialises exclusively in family law and describes itself as award-winning, with a focus on quality, teamwork and continuous development. The position is full-time, and the salary package is commensurate with experience.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients, both in writing and orally
• Liaise with solicitors, barristers, experts and other advisors
• Attend court, mediations and conferences as required
• Deliver seminar presentations and prepare articles for the firm's website
• Engage with the community and develop clients

Required profile

• 3+ years PQE in family law
• Down-to-earth, highly motivated and well presented
• Right to work in Australia; not suited to graduate solicitors or those without family law experience
• Attention to detail, organisational skills and willingness to take ownership of tasks
