Facilities Manager

About the role

The Facilities Manager is a key member of Sydney Airport’s Facilities & Asset Management Division, responsible for the safe, reliable and efficient operation of fire and HVAC infrastructure across a diverse portfolio of airport buildings.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee performance and maintenance of a portfolio of base‑building assets and facilities.
• Coordinate preventative and corrective maintenance activities across multiple sites to ensure operational continuity.
• Monitor asset performance, budgets and contract deliverables against agreed outcomes.
• Partner with project and operational teams to improve asset reliability and optimise lifecycle costs.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external service partners.
• Manage fire and HVAC maintenance contractors to ensure safe, compliant, and reliable service delivery.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience managing facilities or base‑building assets across a portfolio of buildings.
• Proven capability managing fire and HVAC contractors in a live operational environment.
• Strong understanding of contract management and service performance frameworks.
• Ability to balance safety, compliance, operational and commercial requirements.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
