External Security Vetting Senior Analyst

About the role

EY is seeking an experienced External Security Vetting Senior Analyst to support the delivery of complex Australian Government security clearance processes. The role involves assessing security clearance cases and providing quality assurance across Baseline, NV1, NV2 and Positive Vetting clearance levels.

Key responsibilities

• Process Australian Government security clearances in line with the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) and EY best practice.
• Assess clearances across Baseline, NV1, NV2 and Positive Vetting levels.
• Manage complex vetting cases, including sensitive or high-risk information.
• Conduct security interviews and gather information from clearance subjects and stakeholders.
• Give evidence-based advice on clearance recommendations and outcomes.
• Apply quality assurance controls to Personal Security Files (PSFs) and vetting documentation.
• Use electronic case management systems to manage clearance workflows and meet service delivery obligations.

Required profile

• Current Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) security clearance (minimum requirement).
• Current Certificate IV in Government (Personnel Vetting).
• Demonstrated experience in external personnel security vetting, ideally in an Australian Government or similarly regulated high-security environment.
• Experience conducting security interviews, case assessments and quality assurance activities.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of Australian Government personnel security vetting frameworks and processes.
• Attention to detail and sound judgement in complex or sensitive vetting matters.
• Quality assurance experience ensuring compliance with PSPF requirements.
• Stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Time management and ability to meet SLAs.
