External Security Vetting Quality Assurance Specialist

About the role

EY's External Security Vetting Services (ESVS) is looking for a Quality Assurance Specialist to review personnel security clearance cases, from Baseline to PV level. You will help set quality standards in the personnel vetting industry, support vetters on complex cases, identify quality trends and coach, train and mentor a growing team of Personnel Vetting Analysts. The role is hybrid and can be adjusted to work flexibly or with reduced hours.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct ongoing quality assurance on all allocated cases, from Baseline to PV, in line with EY and Agency quality expectations and procedures
• Help manage the QA case queue and maintain QA policies and procedures to meet Agency and EY standards
• Provide inputs into quality measurement and reporting
• Deliver training, updates and coaching based on QA trends, supporting a continuous development program for vetting analysts
• Support complex cases hands-on, helping analysts complete them
• Prepare and present reports on training outcomes, quality metrics and improvement recommendations to senior management
• Stay informed on industry trends and best practice to inform training methods

Required profile

• A minimum Negative Vetting Level 1, with the opportunity to upgrade to Negative Vetting 2 as required
• Certificate IV in Government (Personnel Security Vetting)
• Essential: personnel vetting and QA experience in government or similar high-security environments

Required skills

• Experience with on-the-job training and upskilling new vetting analysts
• Meticulous attention to detail, scrutinising extensive data and spotting potential security risks
