External Audit Analyst – Canberra

About the role

Deloitte is seeking a motivated Analyst to join its external audit team in Canberra. You will work alongside senior auditors on a variety of client engagements, gaining exposure to complex accounting issues and developing a solid foundation in audit methodology.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in team‑based audit engagements for government and private sector clients.
• Assist senior staff in assessing financial records and testing controls.
• Contribute to the design and development of innovative audit solutions.
• Maintain audit quality standards and stay up‑to‑date with regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of experience in external audit.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, commerce or a related field.
• Eligibility or enrolment in a CA (or equivalent) qualification.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and project‑management abilities.
• Australian citizenship; ability to obtain a security clearance.
