Expert Health Trainer - Individual Support

About the role

Connect 'n' Grow is looking for an Expert Health Trainer to deliver Individual Support training to secondary school students across Brisbane South, Logan, the northern Gold Coast and Ipswich. The role uses real-world experience in Individual Support, aged care, disability or community services to help young people discover a career supporting others. You will spend four days a week travelling to partner locations and one day working from home for marking, planning and administration.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Individual Support and Community Services training
• Teach and mentor secondary school students across partner locations
• Help students build practical skills, confidence and career awareness
• Create an inclusive, positive and supportive learning environment
• Assess practical skills and give constructive feedback
• Support Certificate III and traineeship students where required
• Complete marking, training records and student administration
• Build strong relationships with students, schools and industry

Required profile

• Current TAE qualification
• Relevant qualifications and/or industry experience in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability or a related field
• Current industry knowledge and experience
• Experience delivering and assessing vocational training
• Current Employee Working with Children Check / Blue Card
• Current driver's licence and own reliable vehicle
• Willingness to travel across the allocated region (car allowance provided)
