Experienced Vibration Engineer

About the role

Vipac, a multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy active across Australia, is looking for an experienced Vibration Engineer to join its Brisbane team. The role sits alongside experts in industrial vibration, structural dynamics and structural design, delivering consulting services to sectors such as infrastructure, oil & gas, defence, mining and commercial projects.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver technical consulting services in vibration and structural dynamics
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships
• Conduct on-site measurements, root cause analysis and provide actionable engineering solutions
• Perform stress analysis and contribute to design improvements
• Mentor junior engineers and help grow internal capability
• Travel for fieldwork as required

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering (postgraduate qualifications highly regarded)
• At least 5 years' practical experience in vibration analysis, structural dynamics or related fields; academic research may be considered
• Field experience in industrial, mining or oil & gas environments, with a focus on safety
• Previous experience in client-facing or project engineering roles

Required skills

• Strong analytical and technical skills, with proficiency in industry standards and design codes
• Excellent communication and report-writing abilities
• Experience with technical proposal development
• Proficiency in FEA packages, MATLAB, PULSIM and similar software
• Familiarity with proprietary measurement and diagnostic systems
