About the role
Boyd Metal Industries is seeking experienced Plate Roll and Section Roll Operators to join a busy production team in Welshpool. The role involves operating heavy‑duty rolling equipment to produce high‑quality structural steel components.
Key responsibilities
- Operate plate rolls and section rolls safely and efficiently.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings to set up rolls correctly.
- Produce structural steel sections, plates and pipe to specification.
- Maintain focus on quality, safety and productivity throughout the shift.
Required profile
- Proven experience with plate rolls and/or section rolls.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Reliable, practical and able to work well within a team.
Required skills
- Operating plate roll equipment.
- Operating section roll equipment.
- Reading engineering drawings.
- Rolling structural steel sections, plates and pipe.
