Experienced Concreter – Formwork & Steel Fixing

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Concreter to join our multi‑skilled civil construction team in Townsville. The role involves formwork and steel fixing for upcoming civil projects, working under the guidance of the Leading Hand and site Foreman.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and dismantle formwork for concrete pours.
• Fix reinforcement steel according to drawings.
• Prepare and place concrete, ensuring quality and safety standards.
• Follow site safety, quality and environmental procedures.
• Collaborate with team members to meet project timelines.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in concrete work, formwork or steel fixing.
• Ability to follow directions from senior site personnel.
• Current driver’s licence and Construction White Card.
• Strong focus on safety and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Formwork installation and removal.
• Steel reinforcement fixing.
• Concrete placement and finishing.
• Reading and interpreting construction plans.
