About the role
LGT Wealth Management is seeking an Experienced Associate to join its Advisory team in Sydney. You will work closely with Investment Advisers, providing senior support to high‑net‑worth and ultra‑high‑net‑worth clients while managing complex client matters independently.
Key responsibilities
- Manage end‑to‑end onboarding of new clients, account openings and complex portfolio administration, applying sound judgement on non‑standard cases.
- Own key client activities such as cash and stock transfers, corporate actions, margin calls, settlements and international trading, proactively resolving issues.
- Partner with Investment Advisers on high‑value relationships, preparing and quality‑checking meeting materials, investment proposals and review packs.
- Act as a trusted point of contact for sensitive client matters, escalating when necessary and coaching junior Associates.
- Maintain accurate client records in Avaloq, ensuring compliance and strengthening team processes.
Required profile
- 4+ years’ experience in wealth management with a track record of increasing responsibility.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, exercise sound judgement on complex matters and know when to escalate.
- Strong organisational skills, high attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities across senior stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills with a client‑first mindset.
- Experience mentoring junior colleagues is highly regarded.
Required skills
- Avaloq or similar portfolio administration platforms.
- Microsoft Office suite – Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
- AI proficiency.
- RG146 accreditation (or willingness to obtain quickly).
- AML/KYC or derivatives accreditation considered an advantage.
