Exotics Veterinary Nurse (Part-Time)

About the role

A referral hospital in Artarmon, NSW, is seeking a part-time Exotics Veterinary Nurse to join its growing team. Working in a busy, collaborative environment, you will provide care to a wide range of unusual species, including small mammals, reptiles and birds.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to a diverse exotics caseload
• Assist with procedures, anaesthesia, imaging and patient monitoring
• Support specialists and veterinarians across the Exotics service
• Deliver compassionate, informed client communication
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe clinical environment
• Contribute to the smooth daily workflow of the department

Required profile

• Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent)
• Previous hands-on experience in exotics nursing is essential
• Confident handling, husbandry and nursing care of small mammals, reptiles and birds
• Strong technical skills and ability to adapt to a dynamic caseload
• Excellent communication, teamwork and time management
