Exercise Physiologist - Sunbury

About the role

Proactive Health is recruiting an experienced Exercise Physiologist for its Sunbury clinic, a four-day-a-week position to start with a strong chance of growing to full time. The clinic works as a multidisciplinary team with physiotherapists, podiatrists, occupational therapists, dietitians and social workers, and services clients across DVA, Medicare (EPC), NDIS, Home Care Packages, private health and workers' compensation. The role suits someone comfortable running their own caseload and working independently.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments incorporating functional testing and health screening.
• Design and implement tailored exercise programs across multiple settings.
• Manage a diverse caseload across DVA, Medicare (EPC), NDIS, Home Care Packages, workers' compensation and private clients.
• Deliver individual and group exercise sessions.
• Work closely with allied health professionals and GPs to keep care comprehensive.
• Monitor client progress and adjust programs to meet clinical goals.
• Maintain detailed, compliant clinical documentation.
• Educate clients on lifestyle changes and self-management strategies.

Required profile

• ESSA accreditation as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP), or eligibility for accreditation.
• A recognised tertiary qualification in Exercise Physiology or Clinical Exercise Physiology.
• Current or willingness to obtain professional indemnity and public liability insurance.
• Valid Australian driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Willingness to obtain a National Police Check and relevant state-based screening (e.g. NDIS Worker Screening).
• Experience working with DVA clients and across multiple funding streams; interest in chronic disease management, functional rehabilitation or aged care is highly regarded but not essential.
