Executive Director – Mining Turnaround Advisor

About the role

KordaMentha is seeking an Executive Director to lead and expand its mining turnaround advisory capability across Western Australia and nationally. The role combines deep mining industry knowledge with restructuring expertise to advise boards, lenders and senior executives in high‑stakes situations.

Key responsibilities

• Build and grow a market‑leading mining advisory practice aligned with client demand.
• Lead complex turnaround, cost‑out and special‑situations engagements for mining assets.
• Provide strategic, commercially grounded advice to CEOs, CFOs, boards, lenders and investors.
• Originate and develop new business opportunities leveraging personal network and KordaMentha’s reputation.
• Mentor senior team members and contribute to a high‑performing advisory culture.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in the mining sector, including operational and commercial aspects.
• Background in consulting, advisory or performance‑improvement engagements.
• Strong commercial judgement and ability to solve strategic problems in complex environments.
• Proven track record of influencing senior stakeholders and building client relationships.
• Executive presence, resilience and a pragmatic, solutions‑focused mindset.
• Demonstrated people‑leadership capability.
