Event Security Guard

About the role

ACESGroup is expanding its Event Security team and is looking for professional, customer-focused Security Officers to work across some of Sydney's largest events, including concerts, music festivals, sporting events, cultural festivals, community celebrations and New Year's Eve. Shifts are available throughout the year, and availability on New Year's Eve is mandatory.

Key responsibilities

• Crowd management and customer service
• Access control and credential checking
• Bag inspections and security screening
• Monitoring patron behaviour and responding to incidents
• Queue management
• Emergency response and evacuation assistance
• Working with event organisers, venue management and emergency services

Required profile

• Current NSW Class 1A Security Licence (essential)
• Current First Aid Certificate (essential)
• Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) competency card
• Availability to work New Year's Eve (essential)
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays
• Ability to work across various Sydney locations

Required skills

• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Professional presentation and a positive attitude
• Physical stamina to stay alert and active for long periods, often outdoors
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
