Estimation and Asset Support Manager

About the role

Veolia Environmental Services is seeking an Estimation and Asset Support Manager in Henderson, a specialist industrial role reporting to the Manager, Asset Maintenance and Preservation. You will lead estimating and tendering while supporting the management and allocation of specialised plant and equipment. Direct experience in abrasive blasting, surface preparation, industrial painting and protective coatings is required.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the estimating and asset support team, set performance expectations and support employee development
• Prepare accurate, competitive estimates and tender submissions by analysing scopes, specifications, drawings and contracts
• Maintain asset registers covering location, condition, availability and compliance, and develop inspection, servicing and preventative maintenance schedules
• Lead tender handovers to operations and project teams, and monitor actual costs against estimates
• Maintain version-controlled estimating, tender and asset records and ensure compliance with Veolia requirements, client obligations and legislation

Required profile

• Direct estimating and tendering experience in abrasive blasting, surface preparation, industrial painting and protective coatings
• Experience preparing detailed cost estimates, budgets and tender submissions
• Ability to assess labour, materials, subcontractors, plant, overheads, risks and margins
• Relevant trade or technical qualification, or substantial industry experience
• Leadership, planning and stakeholder management skills
• Current Australian driver's licence
• Exposure to hot works, fabrication, welding or mechanical repairs is highly regarded

Required skills

• Knowledge of blasting and painting methods, productivity rates, coating systems, materials, access, containment and quality requirements
• Interpretation of coating specifications, technical drawings, scopes and contracts
• Proficiency in estimating systems, asset management systems and Microsoft Office
