Environmental Coordinator - Civil and Terminal Station Works

About the role

ACCIONA is looking for an Environmental Coordinator to report to the Senior Advisor, Environmental (Biodiversity, Civils and Terminal Station) and coordinate compliance across civil and terminal station work fronts. The role is site-based, with accommodation provided in a regional project camp on a structured roster.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect civil and terminal station work fronts daily and weekly for compliance
• Advise construction teams on installing and maintaining environmental controls
• Verify work against the CEMP, ECPs, work method statements and permits
• Prepare and review site Environmental Control Plans (ECPs) for earthworks, drainage and access routes
• Support biodiversity protection, including vegetation clearing and habitat controls
• Investigate incidents and track corrective actions through to close out
• Maintain environmental records and prepare inputs for monthly reports and audits

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in environmental science, ecology or a related field
• Experience in environmental compliance with permits, CEMPs and ECPs
• Clear communication with site teams and external stakeholders
• Willingness to work in a regional camp on a structured roster

Required skills

• Environmental compliance experience with permits, CEMPs and ECPs
• Desirable: biodiversity, GIS or EDMS tools and major infrastructure experience
