Environmental Advisor – Wastewater Treatment

About the role

Harvey Fresh, part of Lactalis Australia, is looking for an Environmental Advisor in Harvey, Western Australia. You will be the go-to expert for environmental matters at the site, ensuring it meets licence and legal requirements with a strong focus on wastewater treatment operations. Reporting to the Health, Safety & Environment Manager, you will supervise two WWTP operators and work with internal teams, regulators and community stakeholders. This is a local role with no FIFO/DIDO.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP)
• Ensure compliance with DWER and licence conditions
• Identify system improvements and implement procedural changes
• Manage environmental reporting, data analysis and regulatory submissions
• Support capital planning and budget adherence
• Champion sustainability initiatives and HSE culture

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science (or equivalent experience)
• 1-2 years' experience in wastewater management (not essential but highly regarded)
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and environmental systems
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills

Required skills

• Familiarity with SAP and environmental reporting tools
