About the role
The Sample Management Officer supports laboratory operations by ensuring that water, soil and hold samples are stored, tracked and disposed of correctly. This entry‑level position is ideal for recent graduates who enjoy a hands‑on technical environment.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain the cool rooms for water, soil and hold samples in an orderly, up‑to‑date condition.
- Manage long‑term storage of soil samples.
- Dispose of water, soil and biosecurity samples under supervision.
Required profile
- Engineering or science qualifications (or related university degree) are advantageous.
- Strong numeracy, financial awareness and comfort working in technical settings.
- Excellent written and oral communication with logical structuring.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
What we offer
- Full‑time permanent role with Monday‑Friday, 8 AM‑4 PM shift.
- Additional 1.5% superannuation on top of the national standard rate.
