Enrolled Nurse – Defence Health Services

About the role

The Enrolled Nurse will deliver outpatient assessment and health‑promotion services to Defence personnel at the Edinburgh Health Centre, working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will assess patients’ care needs, set priorities and provide initial treatment for minor injuries and illnesses.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct outpatient health assessments and promote wellness.
• Determine the level of care required and prioritize patient needs.
• Initiate treatment for minor injuries and illnesses.
• Collaborate with Registered Nurses and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high‑quality care.
• Work independently when required while adhering to clinical guidelines.

Required profile

• Current unconditional and unrestricted Enrolled Nurse (Division 2) registration with AHPRA.
• At least 2 years full‑time post‑registration nursing experience within the last 5 years (or part‑time equivalent) in acute care, primary health care or a military setting.
• Recent participation in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities.
• Current CPR certification (HLTAID009).
• High personal integrity, ethical behaviour and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Required skills
