Engineering Specialist – Enterprise Data Platform

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Specialist to join a high‑profile government programme delivering a modern enterprise data platform. The role involves operating, sustaining and enhancing a secure, data‑driven environment across both cloud and on‑premises infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, support and sustain a large‑scale enterprise data platform in cloud and on‑premises environments.
• Monitor platform stability, availability and performance, and resolve complex technical issues.
• Implement minor enhancements and contribute to ongoing sustainment activities.
• Ensure platform security, compliance and risk requirements are met in classified settings.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary technical teams to deliver operational outcomes.
• Provide authoritative technical advice and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience with Cloudera, Neo4j and InfoArchive.
• Strong background supporting complex enterprise platforms across cloud and on‑premises environments.
• Solid understanding of security, risk and compliance requirements in highly secure environments.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues independently.
• Proven stakeholder engagement and technical leadership skills.
• Current Negative Vetting Level 2 (NV2) security clearance is essential.
