Engineering Manager

About the role

Resmed is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers in delivering high‑impact software for its next‑generation Healthcare Informatics platform. The role combines hands‑on coding with people management to ensure successful delivery of complex, large‑scale solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coach a team of engineers while contributing code when possible.
• Own delivery outcomes, including estimation, planning, and progress tracking.
• Collaborate with architects, product managers, and engineers to design high‑complexity software.
• Promote best practices, guard code quality, and handle on‑call support rotations.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Proven experience as a people manager and senior engineer delivering large‑scale, cloud‑native systems.
• Track record of leading software teams through multiple product releases.

Required skills

• Experience with NoSQL databases.
• Building scalable, low‑latency cloud‑native architectures.
• Using AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot.
• Working with messaging systems (pub/sub, queues) and data streaming.
