Engagement & Support Coordinator

About the role

The JBS Townsville Plant is recruiting a full-time Engagement & Support Coordinator to join its HR team. Working closely with the HR team, you will support the Pacific Labour Scheme (PLS) workforce through the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, initial onboarding and ongoing pastoral care of internationally sourced employees under the PALM (Pacific Australia Labour Mobility) Program.

Key responsibilities

• Support the PLS workforce through recruitment and the full employee lifecycle
• Deliver initial onboarding activities
• Provide ongoing pastoral care to employee groups under the PALM Program
• Coordinate and process paperwork in a timely way so that candidates can move to the offer stage
• Process paperwork accurately for new hires and transfers after offer acceptance

Required profile

• Full Australian working rights (e.g. NZ citizen, Australian citizen or resident)
• Valid driver's licence
• Strong end-to-end recruitment experience, ideally in a large blue-collar workforce
• Experience with the PLF coordinating or supporting the PALM Scheme, the NZ Recognised Seasonal Employer (RSE) scheme and an AE under the PALM Scheme
• Knowledge of worker placements from one of the nine Pacific Island countries covered by PALM
• Situational leadership, calmness in difficult situations and a strong customer service focus
• Strong attention to detail
