About the role
The Engagement Officer will join the Service Delivery team in Rockhampton, supporting the development of stronger, healthier, and more connected communities through sport and recreation. This role focuses on linking local communities, sporting organisations, and government stakeholders with relevant programs and services.
Key responsibilities
- Facilitate connections between community groups, sport organisations, and government agencies.
- Promote and coordinate sport and recreation programs that encourage active lifestyles.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Work independently while managing competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Support the Service Delivery team in delivering community-focused initiatives.
Required profile
- Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or a visa permitting employment in Australia.
- Current driver’s licence.
- Willingness to obtain a valid Working with Children Check (Blue Card) at personal expense.
- Motivated, community‑focused attitude with the ability to work independently.
