Employment Consultant – Workplace Rehabilitation

About the role

We are looking for an Employment Consultant to join Altius Group’s Rehabilitation team in Sydney. You will work closely with Rehabilitation and Vocational Consultants to help injured workers secure suitable employment through SIRA programs.

Key responsibilities

• Cold‑call and identify host employers willing to place injured workers in volunteer or employee roles.
• Promote SIRA programs and related incentives to potential host organisations.
• Prepare and submit SIRA program and retraining applications for approval.
• Build and maintain a database of employers across client areas.
• Travel to various locations to develop relationships and expand the host network.
• Provide job‑skill training and resources to injured workers.
• Achieve placement KPIs, such as securing a work trial within six weeks of referral.
• Collaborate with the Head of New Employer Services to develop national resources.

Required profile

• Strong telephone communication, sales and marketing abilities.
• At least 6 months of experience in call‑centred or sales roles with proven KPI achievement.
• Resilient, determined and able to deliver positive outcomes in challenging situations.
• Valid driver’s licence and access to a personal vehicle.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a personable approach.
• Full working rights in Australia.
• Knowledge of the NSW Workers’ Compensation scheme is a plus, not mandatory.
