About the role

This full‑time Emergency Medicine Senior Resident Medical Officer (SRMO) position is based in a busy regional hospital on the NSW coast, about 1.5 hours from Sydney. You will join a 24/7 Emergency Department that handles trauma, medical emergencies, paediatric and mental‑health cases.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, stabilise and manage patients presenting to the Emergency Department.
• Perform clinical procedures such as suturing, plastering, airway management and resuscitation.
• Collaborate with consultants, registrars and multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in a rotating roster that includes evenings, nights and weekends.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure safe clinical handover.

Required profile

• MBBS or equivalent qualification.
• AHPRA General Registration or supervision level 3+.
• Minimum 2–3 years postgraduate clinical experience.
• Previous Emergency Department experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills and commitment to ongoing professional development.
