Emergency Medicine Specialist – Tier 2 ACEM Accredited ED in Tasmania

About the role

We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Specialist to join a Tier 2 ACEM‑accredited Emergency Department in Tasmania. The role offers a supportive environment with consultant supervision, strong education pathways, and robust clinical governance.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality emergency care to a diverse patient population.
• Supervise and mentor junior doctors and medical staff.
• Participate in departmental education, training and professional development activities.
• Maintain compliance with clinical governance standards and quality improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to peer‑review processes and support Substantially Comparable candidates.

Required profile

• FACEM qualification or Doctors assessed as Substantially Comparable through ACEM.
• Eligibility for peer‑review support and willingness to engage in the pathway.
• Commitment to long‑term practice in a Tier 2 accredited emergency department.

Required skills

• Emergency Medicine clinical expertise.
• Familiarity with ACEM accreditation standards.
• Experience with peer‑review and Substantially Comparable processes.

• Base salary ranging from $216,300 to $296,640 per year.
• 11.5% employer superannuation, 35% private practice allowance, 20% recruitment & retention allowance.
