Electronic Technician (Temporary, 6 Months)

About the role
A technology manufacturer for the mines is looking for an electronic technician for a 6-month role in Perth, Western Australia. The technician carries out specific work tasks based on the product lifecycle, from manufacturing and testing to repair.
Key responsibilities
- Manufacture and assemble electronic parts and products by hand, using basic hand tools such as screwdrivers, circlips, pliers and cutters
- Solder with fume extraction and pressure, crimp, wire and engrave; apply RTV silicone
- Test electronic parts before commissioning or after use: visual checks, polarity checks with multimeters, voltage checks with oscilloscopes, battery analysers and power supplies, and checks of charging function and capacity
- Repair damaged parts: clean them with chemicals such as spray and wipe and ISO propylene, and fix smaller components in unassembled larger products
Required profile
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Soldering experience
What we offer
- Pay of up to $46 per hour plus penalties and superannuation
