Electro-Technical Officer (ETO) – Offshore Vessels

About the role

DOF is seeking experienced Electro‑Technical Officers (ETO) with a Certificate III/6 to join its offshore fleet operating in the oil and gas sector. The role involves ensuring the reliability and safety of all electrical and electronic systems on board while upholding DOF’s core values of respect, integrity, teamwork, excellence and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and administer all electrical, electronic installations, machinery automation, DP and navigation systems, as well as communication and network systems.
• Ensure electronic equipment is compatible with vessel electrical supplies and complies with relevant regulations.
• Conduct regular checks and testing of equipment to guarantee operational readiness.
• Manage detailed maintenance logs documenting all service activities.

Required profile

• Electro‑Technical Officer Certificate III/6 with a minimum of two years offshore oil and gas experience.
• Demonstrated DP vessel competencies in an offshore maritime environment; DP‑KPOS certification preferred.
• Current MISC certification or ability to obtain one, and compliance with AMSA or Norwegian medical requirements.
• BOSIET‑CAEBS certification beneficial.
• Strong troubleshooting and technical problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a collaborative, adaptable attitude.
