Electrician - Maintenance (Temporary)

About the role

Chandler Macleod is recruiting an experienced Electrician (Maintenance) for an immediate start at the Boyne Smelter in Gladstone, Queensland. The role sits within established maintenance teams supporting critical plant operations across large-scale aluminium and refining assets, focusing on preventative maintenance, fault finding and operational support within structured systems and procedures. It is a short-term 6-month contract, and candidates looking for longer-term work are encouraged to apply.

Key responsibilities

• Perform electrical maintenance on plant equipment
• Work on crane tending assemblies and associated raw material delivery systems
• Complete all work safely and in line with site standards and procedures

Required profile

• Electrical trade qualification (mandatory)
• Heavy industry or large-scale processing plant experience preferred
• Strong safety focus and ability to work within strict compliance environments

Required skills

• White Card, Working at Heights, Confined Space, Forklift (FL) and EWP tickets highly regarded
