Electrical Supervisor - Railway Signalling

About the role

Wabtec's Digital Intelligence Signaling & Systems team, a recognised leader in complex integrated railway system projects, is looking for an Electrical Supervisor based in Banyo, Queensland. Reporting to the Construction Manager, the supervisor leads an electrical team carrying out installation works to design and specification, working closely with engineers and other project staff to set design criteria.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and ensure high standards of health, safety and environmental management systems are followed
• Supervise an electrical team on installation works to design and specification
• Support the development, implementation and monitoring of construction plans for time, cost and quality
• Check construction work against engineering design specifications, client standards and statutory regulations
• Develop individual and team competence
• Conduct toolbox talks and safe talks
• Install and maintain railway signalling equipment such as signals, train stops, point machines, track circuits, level crossings and other wayside items

Required profile

• Substantial experience as a supervisor in the railway industry
• Certificate IV in Rail Signaling
• Construction White / Blue Card and Rail Industry Workers Card
• Background and criminal history check required for successful candidates

Required skills

• Electrical Mechanic License
• Driver's license
• Competent use of the Microsoft Office Suite
• Practical and organisational skills
