Electrical Site Manager - HV Substation Construction

About the role

CPP, a high-voltage infrastructure provider within Quanta Services, is looking for an experienced Site Manager to lead the site delivery of 330kV substation works for a major renewable energy project in Western Australia. It is the first Site Manager hire for the WA team, reporting to the General Manager of WA Operations. The role starts in the Perth office and moves to site about two hours north of Perth from January 2027, on a flexible roster subject to final project arrangements.

Key responsibilities

• Support construction readiness in the Perth office: management plans, resourcing, supplier and contractor coordination, outage planning and site setup.
• Manage day-to-day site activities, lead site teams and subcontractors and ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
• Hold site meetings, report progress, prepare project documentation and coordinate the workforce.
• Lead on QA compliance and safety, and work closely with project managers, engineers, suppliers and client representatives.

Required profile

• Experienced Site Manager with strong HV substation construction and grid connection experience, ideally in EPC and renewable energy environments.
• Current Site Manager or Construction Manager delivering HV substations or switchyards.
• Strong safety leadership, able to identify and control critical risks and manage site compliance.
• Able to lead frontline teams, subcontractors and suppliers while keeping project managers and stakeholders informed.
• Electrical trade qualifications; a practical, hands-on approach with strong communication skills.
