Electrical Service & Control Systems Technician

About the role

Join Qub, a South Australian electrical engineering firm, as a versatile technician working on switchboards, control systems and field services. You’ll balance workshop builds with on‑site commissioning, tailoring your day to your strengths.

Key responsibilities

• Construct industrial switchboards and control panels in the workshop.
• Perform testing, quality assurance and continuous improvement (5S) activities.
• Manage material inventories and prepare Bills of Materials.
• Conduct electrical fault finding, preventative maintenance and customer support on site.
• Commission PLCs, HMIs, variable speed drives and power monitoring equipment.
• Install and configure energy management, UPS and metering systems.
• Produce technical documentation, including FAT/SAT reports and as‑built records.
• Occasionally travel interstate for project work.

Required profile

• Electrician, service technician, panel builder, controls technician or recent engineering graduate seeking hands‑on experience.
• Strong problem‑solving attitude and willingness to learn across multiple disciplines.
