Electrical Maintenance Technician – Full‑time

About the role

Beerenberg is looking for a full‑time Electrical Maintenance Technician to keep its family‑farm production line humming. You will be part of a hands‑on maintenance team responsible for the reliability, safety and efficiency of plant equipment at our Hahndorf facility.

Key responsibilities

• Respond quickly to breakdowns on production machinery, plant and equipment to minimise downtime.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems, including set‑up, start‑up, shutdown and operating parameters.
• Lead risk assessments, lock‑out/tag‑out procedures and uphold OHS standards.
• Carry out repairs, upgrades and installations – from welding and building maintenance to new plant commissioning.
• Maintain accurate CMMS records, ensure compliance with QA, HACCP and audit requirements.
• Identify continuous‑improvement opportunities, manage inventory and support production efficiency.

Required profile

• Electrical qualification with hands‑on maintenance experience in manufacturing (food production a plus).
• Ability to work across four‑day weeks with rotating Monday/Friday RDOs and mixed early/afternoon shifts.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset, calm under pressure and collaborative communication style.
• Passion for food production and South Australian heritage.

Required skills

• ELV, control, VSD and motor‑control circuit knowledge.
• Proficiency with CMMS and preventive‑maintenance systems.
• Understanding of HACCP, GMP and food‑safety standards.
• Experience with lock‑out/tag‑out procedures.
• Electrical qualification.
