Electrical Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

Primo is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to oversee day-to-day electrical maintenance at its Wacol site, a fast-moving food manufacturing operation. The role suits a practical, people-focused leader who enjoys problem-solving, supporting operations and driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily electrical maintenance to keep plant and equipment available and reliable
• Lead, coach and monitor electrical trades teams, keeping manning levels appropriate
• Work with Operations, Production Planners and Maintenance to align priorities and minimise downtime
• Respond quickly to breakdowns, urgent works, fault finding and repairs
• Analyse and report maintenance performance and downtime, and investigate root causes of equipment issues
• Carry out hands-on maintenance, diagnostics, system resets and repairs on production and packaging lines
• Maintain and troubleshoot power distribution systems, PLCs, control systems, instrumentation and VSDs
• Manage electrical maintenance and engineering projects from planning to completion, and follow up work carried over from previous shifts
• Ensure accurate completion and return of work orders, permits and maintenance documentation
• Uphold WHS requirements, electrical safety standards, LOTO procedures and Primo policies, and drive continuous improvement

Required profile

• Current Queensland electrical licence
• Industrial electrical maintenance experience, preferably in FMCG or food manufacturing
• People leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
• Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong communication and problem-solving ability

Required skills

• PLCs, HMI/SCADA, VSDs, power distribution and instrumentation
• Understanding of GMP, HACCP and hygienic engineering principles
