Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls Leader – Brisbane

About the role

Aurecon is seeking an experienced Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls Leader to drive large‑scale industrial and resources projects across Queensland. Based in Brisbane, you will lead a high‑performing team, mentor emerging EI&C professionals, and shape the technical direction of major energy and resource programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, development and delivery of high‑impact industrial projects, ensuring quality, sustainability and innovation.
• Set technical standards and best practices, influencing engineering strategy across the ANZ region.
• Mentor and develop a growing team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
• Collaborate with cross‑border professionals to leverage diverse expertise and expand the project pipeline.
• Manage long‑term resources and energy programmes, strengthening client relationships and industry networks.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of engineering experience with a proven track record in industrial/resources projects.
• Strong leadership ability to inspire, mentor and grow high‑performing teams.
• Forward‑thinking mindset with a passion for sustainable, innovative engineering solutions.
• Deep understanding of the resources and energy sector and ability to influence technical direction.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills for building internal and external stakeholder relationships.
