Electrical Field Technician

About the role

Service Stream's Transport Infrastructure team in Eastern Creek, NSW, is recruiting Electrical Technicians to maintain critical transport infrastructure. The role covers maintenance, fault finding, repairs and system improvements across electrical, tolling and operational technology systems, including the Westlink M7 Motorway. It is a permanent, full-time position reporting to the Electrical Supervisor.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine, scheduled, preventative and reactive maintenance activities
• Diagnose, repair and service electrical and electronic assets across transport networks
• Perform electrical works and equipment upgrades
• Maintain revenue and control systems
• Record maintenance activities and service outcomes in asset management systems
• Assist with system improvements and infrastructure upgrades
• Take part in toolbox talks, pre-starts and risk assessments
• Work safely and in line with company policy and legislative requirements
• Contribute to high levels of service and customer satisfaction
• Participate in a 24-hour on-call roster outside normal business hours

Required profile

• A current Electrical Licence
• A current and valid driver's licence
• Previous field service experience, ideally in an electrical or electronics environment
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality outcomes
• Flexibility to work an on-call roster
