Electrical Engineer – PDI & Reman (Heavy Equipment)

About the role

Komatsu Australia is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join the PDI & Reman team. You will design and develop electrical solutions for heavy mobile equipment, supporting both new builds and the remanufacture of motors, alternators and generators.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems for heavy equipment, ensuring safety and compliance.
• Collaborate with Operations and Engineering teams to deliver innovative solutions.
• Provide specialist engineering support for the remanufacture of motors, alternators and generators.
• Develop and report on KPIs using Power BI and Excel.
• Apply Australian and international electrical standards throughout the design process.
• Drive reliability, continuous improvement and influence national engineering standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and design processes from concept to detailed design.
• Knowledge of relevant Australian and international electrical standards.
• Experience with quality management and continuous improvement (ISO 9001).
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and communicate effectively.
• Good understanding of mechanical and hydraulic engineering concepts.
• Chartered, NER or RPEQ accreditation is a plus but not essential.
