Electrical Apprentice

About the role

Powertech, an electrical EPC and services provider active since 1998 across oil and gas, mining, utilities, defence, infrastructure and energy, is looking for an experienced Electrical Apprentice to support its Malaga, WA office. The position is full-time and permanent, based in the Perth office, and closes on 03/12/2026.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out all work in line with workplace health and safety requirements and legislative policies.
• Under supervision and guidance, assist with and take part in the commissioning, maintenance and installation of equipment and systems.
• Follow guidance to meet safety, technical and operational specifications and standards.
• Complete required reporting and take part in team and safety meetings and performance improvement initiatives.
• Follow work procedures and practices to improve quality.
• Meet obligations of the Apprentice Training Contract, including block training and keeping E profiles and on-the-job log books up to date.

Required profile

• Current resume and cover letter, and two recent work references.
• A current working email address.
• A current Western Australian manual driver's licence.
• Parental consent (for applicants 18 years and under).
• Copies of any pre-vocational or vocational certificates completed.
• Flexibility to work shift work, including nights and weekends, and willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test.
• Willingness to work a Fly-In Fly-Out (FIFO) or Drive-In Drive-Out (DIDO) roster, including long periods away from home.
• Ability to adapt to remote work environments and follow site-specific safety and operational protocols.
