E&I Technician – Hazardous Areas

About the role
This hands‑on position offers the chance to work on technically challenging electrical and instrumentation systems within hazardous areas, supporting fuel storage and transfer operations for Defence. You will develop specialised skills and receive support to obtain an EEHA qualification.
Key responsibilities
- Diagnose, service, repair and maintain critical assets such as fuel storage and fuel transfer systems.
- Work a 38‑hour week with a structured schedule (Mon‑Thu 6:30‑15:00, Fri 6:30‑13:00) and optional travel weeks for overtime.
Required profile
- E&I Certification and an A‑grade electrical licence (EEHA certified desirable).
- Proven experience in fixed‑plant maintenance, preferably in fuel services or oil & gas.
- Confined‑space and working‑at‑heights tickets preferred.
- Australian citizenship and ability to pass a police check.
Required skills
- Electrical troubleshooting and maintenance of hazardous‑area equipment.
- Servicing and repairing fuel storage and transfer systems.
- Ability to work safely in confined spaces and at heights.
